A Brief Club History
The Rosanna Cricket Club was established in 1925 after the disbandment of the St. Andrews Church of England Club (Rosanna), which competed in the Eltham Cricket Association for the 1924/25 season. The St Andrews church team was formally admitted to the Eltham Cricket Association on 30 September 1924 and played the 1924-25 season as St. Andrews (Rosanna).
Members from this team joined the newly established club. The first record of a formal meeting of the club was held in the Claremont hall on the 31st July 1925. At the first general meeting of the Club, Mr. J. A. Mills was elected President and Mr. W. Massey to the position of Secretary. Permission was granted by the Heidelberg Shire Council for the Club to share the wicket at Heidelberg Park and the Club's first equipment was obtained from the recently disbanded St. Andrews Church of England Cricket Club.
Rosanna Cricket Club entered one XI in the Heidelberg District Cricket Association in the 1925-1926 season. The HDCA at that time comprised the following eight Clubs:
Alphington, Fairfield, Fairfield Diggers, Fairfield Footballers, Heidelberg, Ivanhoe, North lvanhoe and Rosanna.
